Well it’s that time for another paid pattern! I cannot tell you how excited I am to share the Southern Beauty Shawl with you! I was sent the beautiful Wolltraum yarn earlier this year and fell in love. I used the 4-ply yarn but they also have a 3-ply if you want to try it out too. The color changes are nothing short of amazing as you can see from the images! The yarn is 50% acyrlic and 50% cotton and will just glide through the hook as you create the Southern Beauty Shawl! If you are wondering…there is NO colors changing necessary. The yarn does all the work for you which means you’ll have less ends to weave in at the end!
When I was asked to pick out my color choice….well oh my gosh….there are just so many that it was nearly impossible because I wanted them all. If you go to the site right now, you can see the beautiful “Halloween” and “Christmas” colors! I know you’ll love the yarn as much as I do!

Hi Kathy! I love your new shawl pattern! Is Woltraum available in the US? Do you have any idea how much they charge for shipping and is there a duty tax on it? It really is beautiful yarn and it compliments your patterns! I want to try it but I don’t want to have sticker shock after I order! God Bless you and your work!

Do you have any ideas for substitutions for the yarn you used? It would cost me over 40 dollars (because of shipping) to use the same brand you used. I have purchased the pattern but cannot purchase that yarn. Thanks.
Kathy Lashley says
The yarn is considered a fingering weight yarn. I think the pattern will compliment any yarn or type of fiber used. Hope this helps.
