Last week I asked you what you would like to see on the next show. Well, it’s all about bags/totes today on ELK Studio’s Saturday Crochet Show. Some of the patterns are free while others are a paid pattern. Either way, each pattern has its own unique style and personality. I hope you will find something that suits your fancy and that will make you get the ole’ hook out and crochet the day away!
Do you have some leftover yarn waiting patiently? No worries, the Wrapped Ombre Tote bag by Moogly is the perfect project to do some stash busting. It’s really a simple pattern of repeating 2 rounds, so you’ll have it memorized in no time! Moogly also does a great job of giving other tips and tricks on special stitches to create this beautiful bag. I’m sure you need a good summer bag and this one will give you a jump-start to the beach!
To me, this bag has summertime written all over it! I can see every woman at the beach looking cuter than ever with it! KT and the Squid did a fabulous job on the Sassy Ruffle Bag don’t you think? It’s super fun and is a must have for this year. I love her easy to read pattern instructions too. Makes a crocheter’s life easy.
I’m ready for the beach this year. Hatched with Love designed the Bricks & Blocks bag, and I’m thinking I would use this for my “beach items”. Ya know…yarn, hook, scissors, and measuring tape. I would say I’m joking but really, I’m not. The bag is also sophisticated enough to carry around town too. I love the pattern and layout of the bag. You would totally be the talk of the table (or your bag) if you were to have lunch with the girls.
Seems to me I’m on a roll so why change it up right? Another great beach bag from the Crochet Lounge. The Pineapple Lace Market bag really would be great for summer supplies like sun screen, towel, snacks, a maybe just one skein of yarn… I really love the colors of this bag too because they speak fun! Check it out because I’m pretty sure it should be on your bucket list.
You’re at the beach for the 4th of July fireworks celebration and what do you have on your shoulder? The Big Striped Crochet Bag by Posh Pooch Designs no doubt. If you click on the link, you can see that it will fit 2 Chihuahuas but it would also be a great bag for a real market run before heading to the beach. It’s big enough to get all the essentials you’ll need for the day. Don’t forget your needle for weaving in the ends either. Don’t you hate it when you’re sitting there on the beach and forget something in the room? Well, thank goodness for me I have a hubby… Anyway, here’s to another great bag for the summer!
It’s dinner time at the beach and you’ve made arrangements for the kiddos so you can have a date with the hubby. The restaurant isn’t too fancy but just quaint enough for The Daisy bag designed by I’m Hooked. The other women sitting at their tables immediately eye the bag wondering where they could get something just so cute. Don’t you love it when someone asks you where you bought your projects? I grow about 5 inches taller when I tell them, “I made it!”
Simply Collectible Crochet has yarn on the mind like me! Her Market/Beach bag will hold 9 skeins of yarn, a couple of notebooks and her wallet. We must be sisters! Two strands of yarn makes this lovely tote strong enough to carry all my stuff to the beach!
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s show of totes/bags!
