Supplies:
- Premier Cotton Fair Yarn , 3.5 oz/317 yards, 52% cotton, 48% Acrylic, 2 [2,2,3,3] balls of white, 1 ball of gray, 1 ball of peach.
- Hook Size: G/4.0 mm
- Tapestry Needle for weaving in the ends.
Abbreviations:
beg – beginning
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
rem – remaining
RS – Right Side
sc – single crochet
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
Gauge: 6 V-sts and 10 rows = 4”
Finished Sizes: Instructions given fit X-small; changes for small, medium, large and X-large are in [ ].
Finished Measurements:
X-small – 50” x 16”
Small – 56” x 16”
Medium – 63” x 16”
Large – 70” x 16”
X-large – 76” x 16”
Pattern Notes:
● Ch 3 at beginning of pattern counts as double crochet unless otherwise stated.
● Ch 1 at beginning of pattern does not count as single crochet.
Special Stitches:
V stitch (V-st): (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp
shell: (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp
Week 4 Instructions for the Southern Diamonds Wrap!
Row 31: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across to ch-3, sc in top of ch-3, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Row 32: Join gray, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across, turn.
Row 33: Ch 3, dc in next st and each rem st across, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Row 34: Join white, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each st across, to ch-3, sc in top of ch-3, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Row 35: Join peach, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across, turn.
Row 36: Ch 3, dc in next st, skip next 2 sts, shell in next st, *skip next 4 sts, shell in next st, repeat from * across until last 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, turn. (45, 51, 57, 63, 69 shells)
Row 37: Ch 3, dc in next st, skip next st and ch-1 sp, 5 dc in next st, *skip next (ch-1 sp, 2 sts, ch-1 sp), 5 dc in next st, repeat from * across until last ch-1 sp and 3 sts, skip ch-1 sp and next st, dc in next st, dc in top of ch 3, turn. (229, 259, 289, 319, 349 dc)
Row 38: Ch 3, dc in next st, skip next 2 sts, shell in next st, *skip next 4 sts, shell in next st, repeat from * across until last 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, dc in next st, dc in top of ch 3, turn. (45, 51, 57, 63, 69 shells)
Row 39: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across to ch-3, sc in top of ch-3, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Row 40: Join white, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Row 41 (RS): Join gray, ch 3, dc in next st and each rem st across. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Edging
With RS facing, join gray, join by sl st to last st, 3 sc in last st, sc evenly down side, 3 sc in first st on foundation row, sc in next st and each rem ch across until last st, 3 sc in last st, sc evenly up side, join with sl st to first st of round. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
