I can’t begin to tell you how much fun “Making it thru Monday” was last week. There were some great projects submitted by a number of incredibly talented folks!
It seems the baby items dominated the most viewed submissions on Monday with these lovely pair of boots and the sweetest dress, skirt and headband set you’ve ever seen.
The lovely boots were made by Elena from Beatrice Ryan Designs, and aren’t they just the cutest things ever? Elena is truly talented in many different areas of crochet. She’s currently writing a pattern for “Sadie”, a beautiful cloche to be released for the 20’s style enthusiast. She also has a spectacular cowl that’s coming up soon too! I can’t wait to get started on the cowl!
If you would like to know more about the boots, just check out her blog post for all the details. While your over there, check out all her other creations. You won’t be disappointed.
The beautiful little dress, skirt and matching headband comes from Ananicole. It was late Monday evening when she sent me a message on my Facebook page stating she wanted to show off her work but was intimidated by the great work of other people. With a little encouragement from some of my friends in the ELK Studio Crocheters Group, she emailed me some pictures. It was incredible the amount of attention her work received (not surprised at all). Ananicole says that she is only a beginner, so I can’t imagine the possibilities for her. I truly believe that we must continue to build each other up and provide the encouragement to help all of us become better people. I’m honored she decided to share her wonderful work!
We also had a little school rivalry going on too. It seems that my free Hounds Tooth Hat pattern is a great pattern to make school colors. Debra posted a picture of her Iowa State colored hat that was really great. Well here comes Jennifer, from Stew-art Creations (who had already posted a “Making it thru Monday”) and had to post pictures of her school colors which happened to be the University of Iowa. It was fun having a little competition on the page.
I hope you will stop by and support all the wonderful crocheted projects that are posted on “Making it thru Monday”. You can also join the fun by emailing me a picture at elkstudiocrochet@gmail.com!
Have a great day! Be blessed!
