Making it thru Monday - A Crochet Project Review #56

Did you see all the projects from last week? WOW! Here are the top two most viewed submissions and blankets seemed to take the prize!

Our first submission was sent to me by Kathy from Cuddles in Crochet! She actually sent 2 photos a week apart. The first one was just a WIP but when I received the second….Oh MY! She made this precious Minnie as a gift for a 14 month old in her family that continually gives Minnie kisses. How precious!

Our next project is from Janet and it’s her first C2C (Corner to Corner) blanket! Another amazing job Janet! It’s really a beautiful blanket and can imagine the satisfaction you must feel knowing that YOU made it!

Making it thru Monday - A Crochet Project Review #56

What a fabulous week on “Making it thru Monday”! So many great projects to gawk over with tons of inspiration. Do you have a project you would like to share? You can upload your photo directly to my ELK Studio Facebook page or email me at elkstudiocrochet@gmail.com.

Our first project for the review is by Julia Fae Crochet and her amazing car slippers for a one year old. The slippers are so great but kudos to Julia Fae for the prop she used to display them. Last year she made a roadway blanket for her son that’s perfect to show off the slippers. Great job! Go check out her page and see some of her other great projects too.

Our next top submission is by Heather from Simply Twisted Stitches and she made these precious baby hats! I really love the grey on the hat too as it gives a very elegant touch. Heather is incredibly talented so be sure to check out her page too!

When I saw this elegant maternity sash by Katie’s Crochet Goodies, I fell in love. Oh, how I wish someone would have made me something like this when I was pregnant with my children, or I could have made one for myself right? It’s a very clever idea Katie. So many projects are out there for babies but now mom has something too. It would be great to make a hat using the same flower pattern for the baby too!

You can never have too many great hat patterns! Oombawaka Designs has this “I Feel Pretty” hat pattern that will do just what it says. The lovely stitching adds just the perfect touch to your project. Rhondda also does a great job with those 2 colors too don’t you think?

What a cool idea for multiple uses of this Sunburst Vacation Scarf by Cre8tion Crochet! She did a great job of picking out the yarn for this project. It’s so bright and says summertime is here!

You can’t have a Saturday Crochet Show without Kim Guzman! Look at this beautiful Besos Baby Blanket. She also has a tutorial for right and left-handed people just in case you need some help!

Have you seen the latest release from Moogly? It’s the Suddenly Sparkles scarf using only skein of Red Heart Boutique Swanky yarn. I always love her patterns and this one is no exception!

Do you love to wear charm bracelets? Here’s a great tutorial from Petals to Picots showing you how make to a yarn charm! It’s really clever and turned out beautifully.

Do you have a little one starting school? Here’s a great backpack from MNE Crafts! Someone in my ELK Studio Crocheters group made the bag and said it was really easy!
