So you’ve made it over to the Southern Diamonds Build Your Own Blanket page! Many of you were asking if I planned on offering multiples sizes to the Southern Diamonds Baby Blanket. I honestly had not entertained the idea when I was designing it….but how could I say no to my ELKies? On this page you will find multiples sizes being offered to you! I hope you enjoy!
Sizing, Chain Count and Approximate Yardage
08/14/2016 UPDATE: I had to change the row count slightly on a few of the sizes in order for the edging to work out correctly which is reflected with the incorrect row count having a strike through it. Please make note of the changes below. After a few weeks, I will remove the changes and leave the correct row count.
- Preemie (22″x 24″) – ch 81; 45 Rows/810 yards
- Small Baby Blanket (30″ x 32″) – ch 111; 55 Rows/1,100 (Featured in the photo above)
- Standard Baby Blanket (36″ x 36″) – ch 141;
7173Rows/1,750 yards - Afghan/Throw Blanket (49″ x 68″) – ch 201; 139 Rows/3,980 yards
- Twin Blanket (66″ x 90″) – ch 291; 189 Rows/7,100 yards
- Queen Blanket (88″ x 102″) – ch 381;
216215 Rows/9.140 yards - King/Cal King (108″ x 102″) – ch 471;
216215 Rows/12,130 yards
If you really want to get adventurous and have a little fun….you can use these starting chain counts you see below then just crochet the rows until you’ve reached your desired height. Keep in mind the edging measures approximately 3″ on each side, so don’t forget to add that to the size you choose below. So that’s basically adding 6″ to what you see below in length but also height too! Your row count needs to end on an odd number too. The measurements above already have that included.
