- Premier Cotton Fair Yarn, 3.5 oz/317 yards, 52% cotton, 48% Acrylic, Colorway is Blue Iris (3 Skeins)
- Hook Size: G/4.0 mm
- Tapestry Needle for weaving in the ends.
Abbreviations:
beg – beginning
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
rem – remaining
sc – single crochet
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
Special Stitches:
V Stitch (V-st): (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp
Shell: (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp
Gauge: 6 V-sts and 8 rows = 4”
Finished Measurements: 41” x 24”
Notes:
Ch 3 counts as the first dc unless otherwise stated.
Week 5 Extension/Rows 38-49
So if you are here that means you want to make your shawl bigger right? If you crocheted Rows 38 and 39 from last week’s release (the row of sc stitches and edging) go ahead and take it out. You won’t need those rows right now. Your shawl should end on Row 37 from last week and you’ll now start with the instructions below.
Row 38: Ch 3, 2 dc in first st, skip next st, shell in next st, (skip next 4 sts, shell in next st) 36 times, skip next 2 sts, (2 dc ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp, skip next 2 sts, shell in next st, (skip next 4 sts, shell in next st) 36 times, skip next st, 3 dc in top of ch 3, turn. (74 shells, 10 dc)

Row 48: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across until center, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 sp, sc in next st and each rem st across, ending with sc in top of ch 3, turn. (472 sc)
Edging:
Ch 1, sc in first st, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next st, *skip next st, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next st, repeat from * until center, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-2 sp, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next st, ^skip next st, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next st, repeat from ^ until last st, sc in last st. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
