So here we are….the last week of the CAL! I know many of you have told me that you’ve learned how to read a stitch diagram with this pattern! I’m so happy that you are taking both parts of the pattern and combining them to learn something new. It’s really a cool thing to know it’s helped!
Please Favorite or Queue in Ravelry!
As you are working on the last part of the poncho, keep in mind that I want everyone to be happy with the length. Once you’ve completed Round 30 the remainder of the pattern begins the edging. Is it long enough? The edging will add about 2 1/2″ to the length.
If you want your project longer, please let me know. I’m willing to offer you additional rounds to extend the CAL to include a Week 5.
Are you new to the CAL? If you need to catch up, you can always click on the MAIN PAGE of the Southern Diamonds CAL! You’ll also find a link for FAQ and Tips!

Hi Kathy.
First let me tell you how pleased I am about you sharing this beatyful poncho. Thanks a lot.
I would really like it at least 4-5 inches longer. By round 30 it does`nt even reach my elbows :).
Love
Irene from Denmark

This has been my first crochet-along. I have been crocheting for years and it’s great to be part of a group, working on the same project. Thanks so much for creating this pattern and for creating the wonderful, supportive group of crocheters on Facebook. With all the negativity around, it’s nice to see some beautiful projects everyday.
Rebecca Solo says
I would love it to be longer, I am 5’10” tall and after completing section 2 I don’t see how section 3 will be long enough for me. I figure at least 4-6 more rows might do it. I have enough yarn.
