For the last few Saturday nights I’ve made a post on my ELK Studio Facebook page where people could share their business pages. I always love seeing other people’s work and figured this would be a great way to get connected. I added a twist this past week and thought it would be interesting to actually feature a business on my blog.
I chose Elizabeth from Crocheted Cuties by Elizabeth as the page I would write about today. I wanted to get to know a little about her and asked a set of questions listed below:
- Name
- Name of business (Facebook, website, Etsy, etc.)
- How did you learn to crochet?
- How long have you been crocheting?
- What is your favorite thing to crochet?
- Is crocheting a hobby or business for you?
- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
- Tell me something personal about yourself.
Here is Elizabeth’s response to my questions.
“My name Elizabeth (Hewitt) Dye, and I’ve been crocheting for about 10 years! My gramma and my mom taught me the basics as I was living with them, caring for them as they both convalesced from surgeries while my husband was driving an 18-wheeler over the road. From there I purchased a book for a sampler afghan. I taught myself to read patterns and went from there!”
“Right now my business is small scale, just a Facebook page, Crocheted Cuties by Elizabeth. It’s more than a business it’s my favorite hobby! I found its something I could do while caring for my young daughter. I take custom orders, I started making baby blankets and booties then people started asking for specific things.”
“When I started branching out, I had NO clue there were so very many like-minded folks! I made things up as I went… I’ve designed many of my own things until the last few months!I’ve started testing for some other designers and purchased MANY awesome patterns as well as made WONDERFUL new friends! I’m now disabled and unable to work outside of the home at all so crocheting and networking has been my lifeline and sanity! My husband is joining the army national guard with thoughts on going active army a possibility…. So God only knows what the future holds!”
Here is Elizabeth’s latest creation! Is it not the cutest thing EVER?

Thank you Elizabeth for taking the time out of your busy schedule to write a wonderful response. I pray you have much success in the future and protection over your family as your husband makes his decision.
Have a great day and be blessed!
