You knew the Roses’s Crossing Scarf was coming didn’t ya? The beanie was just too cute to stay single! Once again, I’ve taken the Red Heart Soft yarn and created a beautiful accessory that is certain to keep you warm with the double-layer technique (and I don’t mean using 2 strands of yarn). Keep reading below to see what you’ll need. Don’t worry because there are videos to help you with the special stitching!

I have a daughter who lives in Stoneham, Mass. Her birthday is the 21st of Dec. I will make 2 of these. One for her and one for a daughter who lives in Kansas. Thank you for the pattern.

Did make this in two different greens. Had to use the tutorials to make sure I was doing the special stitches right but once I got the hang of it it went very well. Really love this and everyone who saw it was impressed. I do teach crochet and one person I know wanted to to it but I said no, she really does not have enough experience to do this one, but I will let her do this when she has a bit more practice under her belt.

Hi Kathy,
My question is on the repeat of rows 10 & 11 (1times). Shouldn’t it be 2 times so you have 3 rows of X stitches? I was looking at the picture & I see 3 rows of X’s. I made 2 of the matching hats & gave them as gifts & they loved them. So now the cowl to go with them. Thank you.
Maria says
Hi Kathy,
I figured out what I was doing wrong. I missed counted my rows. That ssc stitch messed my stitch count since you cant see the row below. My cowl came out beautiful. Thank you for the pattern.

Love this pattern. Can it be made as a regular scarf versus an infinity scarf?
Kathy Lashley says
I haven’t had the time to work it flat. There will have to be a redesign of the ends, and I’m not sure if it’s possible yet. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi Kathy,
I am having trouble with round 10. Could you please explain to me the count? I only get 36 and have one stitch left over at the end
Kathy Lashley says
I’m sorry for the error Lara. There should only be 36 x stitches. I’ll update the pattern. Make sure you aren’t counting the ch 2 as a stitch.
