Remember my granddaughter Ella and the blanket I made for her? Well it’s almost time for us to make a beach trip, and she needed a hat and the new Daydreams Summer Hat is perfect! I used my favorite Sinfonia Cotton yarn and always love how clean and crisp each stitch looks.
Do you love the name Day Dreams? My husband says he would have dreams about his future grandchildren and now that Ella is here, I think it’s the perfect name. I love that he names all my projects. It sure takes some of the pressure off me!
Tell me what you think about the hat and if you would like to also see it in an adult size too!!! Your comments and suggestions will decide whether this is a one time hat for Ella or the next future ELK Studio pattern! Also, what color combinations would you like to see? This hat is so pretty. I would like to see this made for adults. I would like to make it in dark green with a contrast of yellow. I’ve never worked with Sinfonia, so I don’t know what it’s like. I always work with worsted weight cotton, like Sugar ‘n Cream or Peaches & Creme.
Very pretty!! I think it would look lovely in a deep purple white/cream and forest green combo.
Please, please, please do an adult version. Your site has given me the incentive to finish up my WIPs so I can start on your patterns.

Beautiful hat! Adults would wear this hat also! A plum with a cream colored band would be really pretty in any size. Ella sure is a lucky little girl!

I agree with Tiara, Aqua Blue or Orange would be very striking and I know my granddaughter and niece would love one with Aqua Blue and Pink/Aqua Blue and Lilac.
Love the new hat, but I honestly love all your designs. Would love to see it in an adult size. I love all shades of blues and purple.
Would love to have it in an adult size and a child size. A crisp navy and white or a vibrant red and white would be gorgeous!

It is a great hat whether for a little one, older child or adult. My 8 year old would love for me to make it for her.

I love this hat Mrs. Kathy! And I think it would be just as stylish in adult sizes. I know Ella will look absolutely darling in this hat and I think it would also look good in an aqua blue, or a pretty orange!

I love the name 🙂 you have a very clever hubby. Adult size would be great and colour combo’s balck and white of course classic but you could do blue and white or even a solid colour would look great in this hat.
