I hope everyone has enjoyed crocheting Hannah Kate’s Baby blanket. We are on the last portion of the instructions to include the edging. I hope you’ll make this blanket for that one special baby to show them how much they are loved.
Let’s get started with Week 4 now!

Supplies:
-
- Bernat Softee Baby Stripes, #3 Light Weight, 100 % Acrylic, 287 yards/120 grams. Colorway: Bright Future Stripes. Technically you will need only 4 balls to complete the blanket, but I used 5 so that I could purposely make the edging solid all the way around and took out those colors from the extra ball.
- G Hook/4.0mm
- Tapestry Needle
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
blo – back loop only
dc – double crochet
flo – front loop only
rem – remaining
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip st
Gauge: 18 dc and 9 rows = 4″
Finished Measurements: 32″ x 32″
Special Stitches:
3dc cl (3 double crochet cluster): YO, insert hook in specified stitch, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops, (YO, insert hook into same st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops) 2 times, YO pull through remaining 4 loops on the hook. Here is a video tutorial.
X-St (X-Stitch): Skip next indicated 2 sts, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in first skipped st.
Notes:
- Ch 3 is considered first st in the row. Check out the alternative to the ch 3. I think you’ll love it.
- Ch 1 is not considered the first st in the row.
- Multiples of 3 plus 2
Each week the MAIN Page of the CAL will update to keep you on track.
Just as a side note, all Crochet-Alongs can be found on the home page under the Crochet-Along Menu. Hover over it, and you’ll see a drop-down menu appear.
