I’m not sure how to express how incredible the ELK Studio Crocheters are for making the ELK Studio – From the Heart charity event for the month of July such a success!
Our group decided to donate hats and blankets to Project Sweet Peas. It is a wonderful organization that sends our projects to NICU units for those sweet precious babies. Our group made a total of 128 hats and 33 blankets! I want to give a special thank you to Maria from Pattern Paradise. She volunteered to be the organizer for the event and will make sure all the projects make it safely to Project Sweet Peas!

As a volunteer for Project Sweet Peas I want to thank Elk Studios, Maria from Pattern Paradise and all those who made and donated items to our group. You are all such generous people and I want to let you know that each of these items will be put to good use. My grandson was given a handmade quilt when he was in the NICU and I love being a part of Project Sweet Peas as my way of “paying it forward”.

I have also donated to my local NICU..I know just how those parents feel. I received a blanket for my son and it felt great to be able to pay it forward!
