Who Taught You to Crochet?
My mom taught me to crochet when I was 16! She was crocheting doilies and big tablecloths.
How Long Have You Been Crocheting?
I started when I was 16 but soon hobbies came my way!
I practically picked it up again 5 years ago. A lot of my friends were pregnant with Baby number 2, 3 or even 4 and they already had all the baby stuff!! I still wanted to give them something special so I started crocheting blankets, hats and even photo props!
Then I started crocheting scarves and hats and my friends encouraged me to sell them! In 2016 I took my friends advice and my little business, Steffi‘s Creations was born!
I have an Etsy shop, participate in craft sales and also had my items in a shop for a while! I extended my repertoire and crochet everything….. baskets, purses, stuffis, water balloons, decorations (pumpkins/cacti)
Whatever you like!
And I always think of my mom who taught me crochet when I was a teenager! She lives in Germany so this is my way of feeling close to her…..

Why is Crochet More than Just a Hobby to You?
I like learning new crochet skills and I love when I can get other people excited about all the items I crochet.
My perfect day starts with coffee and a crochet project in my hand!!!
I would have never imagined to have my own business and to do every day what I love to do while being a stay at home mom and take care of my two beautiful kiddos!
I love to interact with people and love participating in craft sales…
Crochet totally changed my life and my perspective!
I dream of designing my own items but for now I love to pick crochet patterns from all the talented designers that are out there!
