I’ve been asked if I could show how to close the hole in the top of a beanie hat when it’s been crocheted from the bottom up! It really is simple to do and you’ll get the hang of it pretty quick!
Once you finish crocheting the hat, leave yourself an extra long tail (6″-8″). Thread your needle with the tail, *insert the needle under both loops of your stitch, pull through, skip the next st and repeat at * until you’ve made it all the way around the beanie. Turn the hat inside out and pull the yarn until you have tightly closed the hole. Weave the yarn through the yarn for a few more times then fasten off!
I’m such a visual person, so I created a video for you!
Here are some of the hats that I designed working from the bottom up in which this tutorial would help you!
I hope you have a great day!

I was also interested in the pattern the turquoise hat (very cute), any chance you have it written out now?

Hello! I love all your patterns. I was just wondering if you sell the pattern for your turquoise hat that you used to demonstrate how to close the whole at the top of the hat?

Nicole,
I actually haven’t written that pattern out….yet. 🙂
