Pattern Notes:
- Ch 1 at beginning of a round does not count as a single crochet or the first st.
- Ch 3 at beginning of a round counts as a double crochet or you may use the alternative to the chain 3.
- When there is a Measurement Check, check the measurements of your piece carefully. If you need fewer or more rows to meet the measurement, subtract or add rows as necessary to meet the given measurements.

Small – Add 4 sts evenly across.
Medium – Add 4 sts evenly across.
Large – Add 2 sts evenly across.

2X – No additional sts.
3X – Add one st.
4X – No additional sts.
5X – Add 4 sts evenly across.
Row 2: Adding any necessary st(s) as detailed above, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends. [124 (149, 164, 174, 194, 199, 214, 229, 239) sc]
Row 3: Join contrasting color with a sl st in first st, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across, turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next st, skip next 2 sts, shell in next st, *skip next 4 sts, shell in next st, repeat from * across until last 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, turn. [24 (29, 32, 34, 38, 39, 42, 45, 47) shells, 4 dc]
Row 5: Ch 3, dc in next st, skip next st and ch-1 sp, 5 dc in next st, *skip next (ch-1 sp, 2 sts, ch-1 sp), 5 dc in next st, repeat from * across until last ch-1 sp and 3 sts, skip ch-1 sp and next st, dc in next st, dc in top of ch 3, turn. [124 (149, 164, 174, 194, 199, 214, 229, 239) dc]
Row 6: Ch 3, dc in next st, skip next 2 sts, shell in next st, *skip next 4 sts, shell in next st, repeat from * across until last 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, dc in next st, dc in top of ch-3, turn.
Row 7: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across to ch-3, sc in top of ch-3, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Row 8: Join main color, ch 1, sc in first st, sc in each rem st across, turn.
Row 9: Ch 3, dc in next st and each rem st across, turn.
Row 10: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in each st and ch-1 sp across to ch-3, sc in top of ch-3, turn. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Final Edging
Row 1: With main color and RS facing, join with sl st to edge of corner st of last row, working over the posts of sts along the row edges, sc evenly up front edge, working across back panel, sc in each st, working over the posts of sts along the row edges, sc evenly down the opposite front edge, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in next st and each rem st across until you reach the bottom hem, turn.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in first st, sc next st and each rem st across until you reached the bottom hem, 3 sc in first st on bottom hem, working across bottom edge (last row of Body), sc in next st and each rem st across until you’ve reached the first st of round, 2 sc in same st as first sc, join by sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Armhole Edging
Round 1: With main color, join with sl st to bottom of armhole, ch 1, sc evenly around armhole, join by sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Repeat for second armhole.
