Abbreviations:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
rem – remaining
RS – Right Side
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
WS – wrong side
Gauge: 6 V-sts and 9 rows = 4”
Sizes:
X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X)
Pattern Notes:
- Ch 1 at beginning of a round does not count as a single crochet or the first st.
- Ch 3 at beginning of a round counts as a double crochet or you may use the alternative to the chain 3.
- When there is a Measurement Check, check the measurements of your piece carefully. If you need fewer or more rows to meet the measurement, subtract or add rows as necessary to meet the given measurements.
Special Stitches:
V stitch (V-st): (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp
shell: (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or sp
Once the panels are sewn together you will begin working on the vest Body.
Body (You will now work the vest in “one piece”. Please refer to the written instructions to complete the project.
Measurement Check! Vest should measure 27” from shoulder to last row, you may add or omit repeats as desired, but always end with a Row 10. The edging will add another 3” to the length.
