Christmas Present CAL Project #2 Scarf Tutorial

August 3rd/Week 1 – Supply List and Schedule
August 10th/Week 2 – Scarf Pattern
August 13/Week 2 – Scarf Tutorial (Current Week)
August 17th/Week 3 – Hat Pattern

Supplies:

1. Premier Candy Shop, #4 Worsted Weight, 100% Acrylic, 260 yards, Colorway: Licorice (2 Balls)
2. J Hook/6.0 mm
3. Tapestry Needle for Weaving in the ends.

Notes:

• If you want your project larger or smaller, make sure you start with an even number of stitches.
• In the instructions, I will tell you to ch 3.  You can use the alternative stitch if you like.  Click HERE for the video tutorial.
• Ch 3 counts as the first dc in the row.
• Ch 1 does not count as the first sc in the row.

Abbreviations:
flo – front loop only
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
rem – remaining
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
yo – yarn over

Gauge: Is not important for this project.

Finished Measurement: 74″ x 7 1/2″

Special Stitches: 

Special Double Crochet:  (sdc) YO, insert hook into st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops, YO, insert hook in front loop only in row below, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops, YO, pull through last 3 loops.
