It’s time to kick off Day 19 of the 2020 “Make it for Me” projects!

You’ve survived the holidays and now It’s Time for You!  For the entire month of January, I will bring you FREE patterns from amazing designers in the crochet industry.  One of the great parts of “Make it for Me” is the designer will tell you exactly what that project means to him/her and why it is considered perfect for you too! If you love the look of cables but are slightly intimidated to try them then this project is for you! It’s the perfect stepping stone to build your confidence! The only stitches used in this project are sc, hdc, dc, and the camel stitch, which we have a video tutorial on. Suitable for adventurous beginners. Your time was spent making Christmas presents for everyone else in your life, now its time to spoil yourself a little – you deserve it!

This handbag was inspired by a conversation with a friend that happens to be a fashion designer. She was discussing a crochet fabric with me, and I was discussing shapes with her. The further we went along in the discussion, I had a vision of the perfect small handbag I needed for day trips to the city.

For me, a day in the city is San Francisco. I always want to travel with only the essentials, as there is a lot of walking….much more then I typically do in an average day.

So, I want a handbag that can carry the essentials, not weigh a lot, and one that I can comfortably keep close. The Italian Spy fits that build.
