It’s time to kick off Day 7 of the 2019 “Make it for Me” projects!
You’ve survived the holidays and now It’s Time for You! For the entire month of January, I will bring you FREE patterns from amazing designers in the crochet industry. One of the great parts of “Make it for Me” is the designer will tell you exactly what that project means to him/her and why it is considered perfect for you too! Take a few minutes to check it out and decide if this crochet pattern is the one that you’ll dedicate to make for yourself. If this is your first time here, you can find out the details about how “Make it for Me” works HERE.
Now let’s hear what the designer has to say about why they chose this particular design as a “Make it for Me” project. Marie of Underground Crafter said, “The Promenade Shawl is a perfect “for me” project because…. It uses a simple, meditative pattern (the granny stitch) and it’s a one-skein project (in Red Heart It’s a Wrap), so I could work on it while distracted and watching tv or commuting. It uses a lightweight yarn, so I can wear it under or over my coat, depending on my mood, and it’s easy to pack when I’m traveling. The triangle shape is great for keeping my neck and chest warm during the cold months or for wearing over the shoulder in warm weather. I named it after the Brooklyn Promenade, which has one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline.”
