It’s time to kick off Day 29 of the “Make it for Me” projects! You’ve survived the holidays and now It’s Time for You! For the entire month of January, I will bring you FREE patterns from amazing designers in the crochet industry. One of the great parts of “Make it for Me” is the designer will tell you exactly what that project means to him/her and why it is considered perfect for you too! Take a few minutes to check it out and decide if this crochet pattern is the one that you’ll dedicate to make for yourself. If this is your first time here, you can find out the details about how “Make it for Me” works HERE.
I had the privilege of meeting Linda of Linda Dean Crochet last summer while attending CGOA. She was so much fun and really a talented designer. As a “newbie” at the conference, her advice was immeasurable. She thought the Corkscrew Scarf was the perfect “Make it for Me” project. She said, “Today I am happy to share my Corkscrew Scarf. This is a fun project that can work up quickly in a wide variety of yarns, and is easily adjusted in length or width to make a scarf that fits just the way you want it. The Corkscrew scarf was originally created as a project that “new to crochet” students could practice some stitches, while learning how to read patterns, in the crochet classes that I teach at my local yarn store, Lofty Lou’s. You can find me there most Tuesday mornings from 10-1:00, so if you happen to find yourself in the California Foothills, east of Sacramento, look us up and stop by.”

There is still TIME! I would encourage all of you to form your own “Make it for Me” event at your local yarn store, coffee shop, etc. Let’s just take at least one day out of the month to celebrate US!
Have a great day!
