It’s time to kick off Day 6 of the “Make it for Me” projects! You’ve survived the holidays and now It’s Time for You! For the entire month of January, I will bring you FREE patterns from amazing designers in the crochet industry. One of the great parts of “Make it for Me” is the designer will tell you exactly what that project means to him/her and why it is considered perfect for you too! Take a few minutes to check it out and decide if this crochet pattern is the one that you’ll dedicate to make for yourself. If this is your first time here, you can find out the details about how “Make it for Me” works HERE. Be sure to scroll all the way down because I have an announcement of a local “Make it for Me” event in my home town!
If you love bright colors….you are in for a treat! Marie from The Underground Crafter designed the Rainbow After the Storm Shawlette and considers it the perfect “Make it for Me” project. She said, “I love making shawlettes for myself because I can wear them as scarves under my coat in the cold, and then use them as accessories over my clothes while I’m out. Being a native New Yorker, I have a lot of black in my wardrobe, so this Over the Rainbow colorway in Bonita Yarns Kaleidoscopic seemed like a great way to bring a little sunshine with me wherever I go.”

I love this idea! I have been so busy at work, I haven’t been able to catch up on my email and Facebook pages. This moning I had the opportunity to catch up a bit before work. I’m going to try and start one of the projects this weekend. Every pattern up to today is beautiful. I especially like the shawlette. My office is always cold. It would be great to have that to put over my shoulders.
