I know that many of you are like me…..visual learners. It just seems to make more sense to see a stitch diagram of things for all the written instructions to “come to life”. I hope the diagrams will help you. If you aren’t good at reading patterns but love diagrams….take this opportunity to learn! Read the pattern slowly then correlate it with the diagram. The more you practice at reading patterns…the better you’ll get! Have fun today crocheting!

Using the diagram, is that just to be used as a sample or is that the exact number of stitches you are supposed to have in a row. My total number of stitches don’t match to yours. Can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
Kathy Lashley says
Hi Diane,
It’s just a sample of the stitching. There is no way to fit the entire pattern in a photo and it be readable. I hope this helps!

Will you be providing a diagram for the week 3 rounds? Your first diagram has been a life-saver for me…and the first time I’ve relied on one. Using the words with the pic has been a tremendous help!
Thanks so much!! LOVE LOVE this pattern…..and I want to try the gray and black striped one from NOV but I didn’t see the pattern in your ETSY shop.
Kathy Lashley says
Hi Holly. The diagrams for Week 3 will be coming out tomorrow. You can get the Evening Chill Poncho in my Ravelry shop!! Thank you so much and enjoy.
B.Haas says
Would Love to have a hood option. Have you thought of trying that?
Love the pattern.
Thank you for graciously sharing
Kathy Lashley says
I don’t have a hood option for this project. I’m not sure if I can do that at the moment. I’ll keep it in mind.
Eva says
Thank you for the charts, they answer some of my questions. However, I think there is an error in the chart as in Row 3 at the corner, the chart show the 3DC on either side worked into the chain space, while the written pattern states to work them into the DC. Which is correct please?
Kathy Lashley says
Hi Eva,
I can see where you are right. It won’t make that much difference in the pattern if you work it into the chain space or the stitch. However, since it’s written to work into the stitch, you can do that for completeness sake. Thank you!
Kathy

Bless you for the left handed diagram! I can follow the right handed one but it makes my head hurt! lol
Kathy Lashley says
As a lefty myself…I know exactly what you mean Leslie. It’s just easy not to have to concentrate on it so much huh?
Have a great day!
