If you love to crochet scarves…you’ll love this one! It’s a really quick scarf to work up and with the little added texture is nothing more than Handcrafted Elegance at its best! The best part is I made a beanie that matches the hat too! Yep…..it’s an accessories galore party with these two!

Pattern Instructions
Supplies:
1. Red Heart Soft or any worsted weight yarn. Specifications for the Red Heart Soft: 5 oz/141 grams 256 yds. Approximately 200-220 yards. Color way – Berry, Charcoal and White. (The three skeins were enough to make both the hat and scarf).
2. Crochet Hook Size – I/ 5.50
3. Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.
Gauge:
12 dc stitches and 6 Rows = approximately 4″
Abbreviations:
beg cl – beginning cluster (YO, insert hook in next stitch, yo, draw yarn through 2 st) 3 times in same st, yo, draw yarn through 4 loops on hook
ch – chain
cl – cluster stitch (YO, insert hook in next stitch, yo, draw yarn through 2 st) 4 times in same st, yo, draw yarn through 5 loops on hook
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
Using Color A
Ch in even numbers
ch 140, sl st into first ch (careful not to twist your chain!)
Round 1: ch 1 and sc in first ch, sc in next ch and each ch around, join by sl st to first sc. (140 st)
Round 2: ch 2 (counts as first hdc here and throughout), hdc in next st and each st around, join by sl st in top of 2nd ch. (140 st)
Round 3: ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in next st and each st around, join by sl st in top of 3rd ch. (140 st)
Color B
Round 4: Repeat Round 2
Color C
Round 5: ch 1 and sc in first st, sc in next st and each st around, join by sl st to first sc. (140 st)
Rounds 6-7: Repeat Round 5
Color B
Round 8: Repeat Round 2
Color C
Round 9: Repeat Round 5
Color A
Round 10: ch 1 and beg cl in first st, ch 1, skip next st, *cl in next st, ch 1, skip next st* repeat from *to*, join by sl st to first beg cl. (140 st)
Round 11: sl st in first ch-1 space, beg cl in ch-1 space, ch 1, skip next st *cl in next ch-1 space, ch 1, skip next st*, repeat from *to*, join by sl st to first beg cl. (140 st)

Round 12: Repeat Round 5
Color B
Round 13: Repeat Round 2
Color C
Round 14-16: Repeat Round 5

Round 17: Repeat Round 2

Round 18: Repeat Round 3

Round 20: Repeat Round 5. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

If I wanted to make it a longer infinity scarf, all I have to do is make sure the stitches are even?

I’m confused on the amount of yarn needed per color. Do you mean 1 skein (5 oz/141 grams 256 yds) of each color? 3 colors are identified, and then “three skeins”.

The first part is telling you the specifics for a skein of that yarn. It helps when someone decides if they want to use a different kind.
You will need to purchase 3 skeins of the yarn for your project (one of each color). I hope this helps.
