The stitching may look familiar because you recognize it from DJ’s Beanie! I thought if you made the wonderful hat for your guy, how fitting it would be to sport a matching scarf! (If you made the hat in “girly” colors, well you’d be set wouldn’t ya? Dakotah’s Fabulous scarf once again incorporates the unique stitch of crocheting in the “3rd” loop of the half-double crochet stitch. Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before because I created a tutorial for you!

I Love this pattern! I am looking for the pattern DJ’s Beanie but I am not finding it. I would like to make a “messy bun” hat….
Kathy Lashley says
DJ’s beanie can be found in the free patterns menu at the top of the page. Hover over it and a drop down menu will appear and you’ll see the hat menu. Click on it and you see all the hat patterns. All my patterns that are made from the bottom up would be a great “messy bun” pattern.

Such a beautiful design, I love the color choices. It gives me a good excuse to try out my 6.0 mm crochet hooks, which has been lonely for the last few projects. Will share!

Thank you!

Love this pattern. I did use a smaller hook as the unforgettable yarn feels to thin to work well with a J hook. Other than thatthe pattern was easy to follow. Used the colorway Stained Glass and it turned out beautifully. Thank you for such and lovely pattern. This is the first time I have been to you Web site but definitely not the last.
Kathy Lashley says
Hi Paula,
I’m so glad you loved the pattern! It’s one of my “newest” favorites too!

Thank you again for a wonderful project! I love this scarf’s texture, and this is the first time doing the hdc in the third loop…it gives the look of knitting. I used Lion Brand’s Landscapes (a little over 2 skeins) and it is just beautiful!
Kim says
Did this take the entire skein? I have some of this yarn left over from another project and wondering if I have enough…
Kathy Lashley says
Hi Kim,
I did use most of the skein. Have a great night!
