It’s been so hard to keep Emory’s Christmas Tree Skirt to myself. Premier Yarns is amazing for sponsoring our Christmas Present CAL and our first project was such a pleasure to design and crochet. The ELKies asked for a Christmas tree skirt last year, but I ran out of time…..all things in due time right? Let’s get things started!
I really think you’re gonna love the yarn for a few reasons:
- It’s a great cotton yarn, so it will last for a long time.
- The yarn is perfect for Christmas because of the sparkly twinkle you can see.
- It’s on SALE! (see below)
- You’ll also get a discount code (see below)
When I told Premier Yarns that I wanted to design a Christmas Tree Skirt, they suggested the Premier Home Cotton Big Glitz. I already knew that I wanted to design the skirt using cotton, but when I received the “samples” to play with……it was perfect.
Get the PDF pattern on Etsy HERE.
There are 12 panels individually made with this skirt. The pattern is easy, and I’m going to ensure you will be successful. I’ll have a well written pattern, stitch diagrams and probably a video tutorial for you too!! You will enjoy this project and create an heirloom for yourself or someone special.
If you aren’t a member of the ELK Studio Crocheter’s FB group…whatcha waiting on? We have all skill levels in there, so you can get your questions answered by a very supportive group of people! We actually call ourselves the ELKies!

Could this be made all one color. I’m thinking of using Silver/White. Would 5 skeins be enough. Thanks
Kathy Lashley says
Sure Karen! Any color you like!
Carol says

I’ve only made a few very basic things, sc, hdc and c2c. I can’t read patterns or diagrams. Would I be able to do this?
Kathy Lashley says
I think so Michele. There will be some video tutorials to go along with the project plus the group is always there for guidance too.

Is there a way to get the entire pattern at once?
Jean
Kathy Lashley says
Hi Jean,
The project is considered a Crochet-Along, so it will come out as scheduled. But……once you see week one, you’ll be able to know that in all reality you could crochet all 12 panels if you wanted.

Some of us aren’t patient enough to go week by week so we wait for the end and snag it all at once😉 That’s me!
