Yarn Discovery #2 – ELK Studio Style

Are you ready for another great segment of Yarn Discovery?  I’ve actually used this yarn myself and love it (when I want to splurge a little).  I found a crochet jacket from Drops Designs and decided that I would finally make myself something.  You can find the link to the pattern and a review HERE.

I was really happy with the outcome of the jacket.  While the pattern was great, the yarn choice was just as important.  In my designing, I’ve used several different yarn types and the project would turn out so differently. I believe the Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton was a perfect choice for this jacket.  It’s very lightweight and allows for great draping of the jacket.  The picture really doesn’t do the jacket justice in terms of the beautiful sheen given by the yarn.  Also, with it being cotton, it’s a great summer yarn for anything like a hat, summer scarf, or shawl.

Care Instructions: Machine wash cool and tumble dry low
